A Victoria wedding photographer who knows the light

Your wedding day moves fast. Our job is to slow it down in the photographs.

Victoria wedding photography comes with its own beautiful challenges: bright marine overcast that turns harsh at noon, sunsets past 9 p.m. in June, and garden venues that glow for exactly twenty minutes before the sun dips behind the Sooke Hills. We plan for all of it. Before your day we build a photo-friendly timeline, scout your venue's light, and write a family photo list so formals take minutes, not an hour.

On the day, expect us to blend in: no shouting poses across the lawn, no flash in your officiant's face. We'll quietly gather the details, document the ceremony from discreet angles, and steal you away for portraits when the light turns golden. Whether you're celebrating at a castle in Colwood, a vineyard in the Cowichan Valley or a backyard in Oak Bay, the gallery will feel like your day.

Questions couples ask

How many hours of wedding photography do we need?

Most full weddings in Victoria are best covered with 8 hours: getting ready, ceremony, portraits, and the first part of the reception. Smaller celebrations often need 5–6. Try our wedding timeline planner to see what your day needs.

Do you offer a second photographer?

Yes — a second photographer is $95 per hour and is most helpful for weddings over 100 guests, or when both partners are getting ready in different places.

Can you recommend vendors and venues?

Absolutely. After years of Vancouver Island weddings we're happy to point you to planners, florists and venues that suit your style and budget.

Is a deposit required?

A 30% retainer and signed agreement reserve your date. The balance is due a month before the wedding.

Do you photograph same-sex and non-traditional weddings?

Always, and joyfully. Every couple and every kind of celebration is welcome here.
