A Stylish Downtown Engagement Session.

I've been dying to bring this type of engagement session to life for forever. I remember when I got engaged, the idea of doing engagement photos out in nature just didn't feel right for me. Don't get me wrong, I love nature engagement photos, but they aren't for everyone! So now that I am a photographer I want to make sure my clients have another option that can be just as stunning. Downtown Victoria has so many amazing spots to tuck into, grab some food or something to drink and get some gorgeous photos at the same time. A session like this is basically one long date with some paparazzi following you around!

We started at Fol Epi for some fresh cookies and coffee. Not only do they have some of the best baked goods in town, but I've always admired the little European looking fountain they have out front. Next we went on a bit of a walk until we came across Veneto and popped in for a quick cocktail( / to warm up because it was freezing out!). The opportunity to take photos through glass windows is one of my favorite things about any city session - and it's also a great way to get creative with the engagement ring photos. After drinks we grabbed some champagne from the liquor store next door and I brought them to a private rooftop so we could do the classic champagne pop (legally haha). If you want some funny bloopers in your gallery, definitely do a champagne pop! Finally, we ended the night in China Town so we could play around with all of the great neon signs and duck into all of the cool little ally ways.

And this was just one date! There are so many things to do and so many great local spots for a fun engagement session downtown that feels 100% you.
